Mental health : is described as either the level of cognitive or emotional well-being, with or without mental discipline disorder.From prospects for positive psychology or holism mental health may include an individual's ability to enjoy life and strike a balance between life activities and efforts to achieve psychological health resilience.Mental is to express your feelings, and represents a successful adaptation to different needs.

Depression

Depression : change or distort the way the young people themselves and their lives and others around them. People suffering from depression generally all do with a more negative attitude, unable to imagine that every problem or situation can be resolved in a positive way.


Symptoms include:

  • Agitation, nervousness and irritability
  • Dramatic change in appetite, often with a loss or gain
  • Extreme difficulty concentrating
  • Fatigue and lack of energy
  • Feelings of hopelessness and helplessness
  • Feelings of worthlessness, self-hate, and inappropriate guilt
  • Inactivity and withdrawal from usual activities, loss of interest or pleasure in activities formerly known (like sex)
  • Thoughts of death or suicide
  • Insomnia or excessive sleep

Depression can appear as anger and discouragement rather than feelings of hopelessness and helplessness. The consumption of alcohol or illegal substances may be more likely to occur.
If depression is very serious, can also be symptoms such as hallucinations and psychotic delusions. These symptoms can focus on the themes of guilt, inadequacy, or illness.

Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia is a chronic disease of the brain, severe and disabling. About one percent of the population develops schizophrenia during their lifetime - more than two million Americans suffer from the disease in a given year. Although schizophrenia affects men and women with equal frequency, the disorder often appears earlier in men, usually in their late teens or early twenties.

How is schizophrenia diagnosed?

There is currently no physical or laboratory test that can definitively diagnose schizophrenia - a psychiatrist usually makes the diagnosis based on clinical symptoms.

The causes of schizophrenia?

Although the exact cause of schizophrenia remains unknown, experts agree that schizophrenia develops as a result of the interaction between biological predisposition (for example, inheriting certain genes) and environmental factors. These lines of research are beginning to converge:
