Can be defined as the principle that individuals and groups of people learn to behave in a manner conducive to the promotion, maintenance or restoration of health. Health education definition as the principle that individuals and groups of people learn to behave in a manner that fosters the promotion, maintenance or restoration of health. The ultimate goal of health education is positive behavioral changes.

Health education begins with people. She hopes to motivate them with everything they may have interests in improving their living conditions. It aims to develop in them a sense of responsibility for health conditions for themselves as individuals, as members of families and communities. In the fight against communicable diseases, common health education includes an assessment of what is known by a population about a disease, an assessment of habits and attitudes of the population regarding the spread and incidence of disease and the presentation of specific means to remedy the deficiencies.
