breast cancer

Breast Cancer

Breast cancer is cancer that starts in the breast tissue. There are two main types of breast cancer:

  • Ductal carcinoma starts in the tubes (ducts) that milk from the breast to the nipple. Most breast cancers are this type.
  • Lobular carcinoma starts in parts of the breast, called lobules that produce milk.
In rare cases, breast cancer can start in other areas of the breast.
Breast cancer can be invasive and noninvasive. Invasive means that it develops from the milk duct or lobule other tissues of the chest. Non-invasive means has not yet conquered the other breast tissue. invasive breast cancer in situ.

Types Of  Breast Cancer

Here are the different types of breast cancer:

1.      The grade of the tumor - is assigned by the pathologist and is based on the source of melanoma through the use of the microscope, the pathologist can see how the cells are similar to breast tissue. With the classification of information, the physician can determine the best treatment options

2.      Meta cancer in plastic - and locate the lesions found in a variety of cell types that are not normally found in breast cancer. Diagnosis and treatment are the same as ductal carcinoma dangerous.

3.      tubular carcinoma - the name comes from the outbreak of the microscope, which is an insidious type of cancer compared with ductal carcinoma and lobular carcinoma.

4.      lobular carcinoma (in situ) - this is not a sarcoma. This means that the individual is at high risk of developing melanoma. Even if you do not have lobular carcinoma, but your sister and mother have it, you'll also have a high risk.

Breast Cancer Treatment

Breast cancer is treated differently. It depends on what type of breast cancer and how far it has spread. The treatments are surgery, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, biological therapy, and radiotherapy. People with breast cancer often have more than one treatment.

  • Surgery. An operation where doctors cut and remove the cancerous tissues.
  • Chemotherapy. Use of a particular drug or drugs to reduce or kill the cancer. Medications may be taking the pills or medicines given through an intravenous (IV) tube, or sometimes both.
  • Hormone therapy. Some cancers need certain hormones to grow. Hormone therapy may prevent cancer cells from getting the hormones they need to grow.
  • The biological treatment. This treatment works with the body's immune system to help fight cancer or to control side effects of other cancer treatments. Side effects are, how your body reacts to medicines or other treatment. Biological therapy is different from chemotherapy, which attacks cancer cells directly.
